The Foremost Fleet Report - April 2022
USS Ark Angel
Commanding Officer: Robert Archer
How is your ship looking overall? Overall? Beyond some minor awols due to people having something come up here and there this past month, the Ark Angel is running in top shape! Progress on the sim has been huge thanks to the amazing driving force of our GM CockRoach! I mean honestly what more can one say about that little guys hard work? All around the crew is engaged, posts are happening, and people are working together to figure out the devious details of the CockRoach’s sim. Crew wise we also got some side sims happening, and roster wise we’re pretty full beyond 1 or so JO roles.
What was your favorite moment/post on the ship this month (include a link if possible!)?
Name one thing you want to improve on the ship for next month. Improve? Eh hard to say, in a perfect world get those 1 or 2 jo spots filled with active players, but if not its no big loss either all things considered. Only other ‘improval’ I maybe would be looking at is trying to help certain players with constructive ideas to improve their posting habits, styles, etc
Executive Officer: Sam Pennington
How are the DHs doing? Are they all active and participating, both in the main sim and in any side sims? Everyone is staying in the green. There isn’t much side simming happening, but the main sim is consistently busy.
How are the JOs doing? Are the all active and participating, both in the main sim and in any side sims? About the same as the DHs. Engaged in the main sim.
Who is the shining star this month? Kirt Gartner as Miz’uki
Gamemaster: Robert Archer
Summarize the sim plot so far as if you were providing it to a new member joining the ship: So first off as GM I want to give a huge shout out to the ship’s CO for his hard slaving work in keeping the Ark Angel so well organized and running! Kudos to him!
Sim wise the crew has made huge leaps in progress this past month, one of the two blobs on the Synthesis were captured and studied on the Ark Angel. Where they learned the organisms are not individuals but a piece of a even more greater part of a whole larger organism. They also learned this organism has the ability to not only displace itself through space, time, and reality, but also alter the laws of physics and more inside itself. The creature/creatures seem to feed on a combination of technological energy as well as biological neural energy. The crew on the Synthesis are now attempting to track down the second blob, while on the Angel the crew are hard at work ensuring the Angel herself doesn’t got any unexpected visitors. Also plans and ideas are in the work on how to better study this life form.
Who was the biggest contributor this month to driving the sim forward?
FComm’s Comments: Ark Angel has a stable roster at the moment. Rob and Sam are always on top of what their ship needs and work towards it not just looking at short term goals of filling spots but keeping those spots filled and creating community among the crew.
Fleet Award Nominees:
Star Ship Trooper: Kirt Gartner as Miz’uki
USS Asimov
Commanding Officer: Sam Pennington
How is your ship looking overall? I’m proud of the Asimov. We’re keeping active and the sim moving. For a slow speed ship, it keeps pretty busy.
What was your favorite moment/post on the ship this month (include a link if possible!)? We just entered a new phase of the sim, and our GM has briefly rechristened the ship the Rabid Pelican.
Name one thing you want to improve on the ship for next month. I would like to see more side sims as we continue.
Executive Officer: No report submitted
Gamemaster: James Sinclair
Summarize the sim plot so far as if you were providing it to a new member joining the ship: The Asimov has selected for a singularly important yet totally covert mission: Insert a double agent into a clandestine criminal syndicate that may have infiltrated Star Fleet and the Federation at some of the highest levels. The agent in question had been replaced by a syndicate operative, but that operative was discovered and the original agent rescued. Now, a few high-ranking officials have decided to replace the replacement with the original. To do this, they have asked the Asimov to do the unthinkable…
Become the very thing that they stand against.
Dispatched to a wholly unknown and alien station inside an unavigatbale nebula, the crew of the Asimov has spent the better part of a month preparing the ship and themselves to become pirates… marauders… saboteurs… and traitors. For anyone outside the crew, the Asimov is a rogue ship whose crew either went criminal… or was killed trying to stay the course. Now, wanted for crimes and treason, the Asimov must insert themselves inside a highly intelligent and very cautious criminal organization whose motivations and reach are unknown. They must ‘return’ the agent, stay close enough to extract them when the time is right, and keep the organization from discovering their true mission:
To bring down the Shadow Syndicate from the inside and bring that agent home.
To this end, the crew of the Asimov is departing the station and preparing for their new life of crime.
Who was the biggest contributor this month to driving the sim forward? Jenn Ward has been solid in incorporating the annoying and problematic NPC into her posts, and even helped establish some backstory for the character that added a good deal of depth.
FComm’s Comments: XO Report: Exempt for LOA
As Sam has said Azzie is a slow speed ship, but she stays busy and has a crew of incredible and creative writers. James has a very engaging sim that has plenty for everyone to do. He is also skilled at pulling in the crews’ personal stories to help enrich his sim.
Fleet Award Nominations:
Star Ship Trooper: Jenn Ward
Dungeon Master: James Sinclair
SS Bonaventure
Commanding Officer: Melissa Aragon
How is your ship looking overall? Ship is doing well. AWOL and LOAs under control, new sim just beginning. We’re having a ball!
We have to get a CE and CSO, but otherwise, we’re ok.
What was your favorite moment/post on the ship this month (include a link if possible!)? I think the best thread so far this month was the congrats to Roach for an amazing sim! He was awesome to keep it going desire sure issues, becoming President, and working on those responsibilities. Definitely nominate him for GM OF THE MONTH!!!
Name one thing you want to improve on the ship for next month. Need to fill the DH spots, for sure. With Viking and OP42 decommissioning we’re hoping we may get folks willing to explore this alt timeline.
Executive Officer: Steve Johnson
How are the DHs doing? Are they all active and participating, both in the main sim and in any side sims? April was slower for the Bonnie as we ended one simm and started another. Currently we are short 2 DH’s, so we are looking to get those spots filled soon.
How are the JOs doing? Are the all active and participating, both in the main sim and in any side sims? Are 2 JO’s are definitely eager and regular posters. Thanks guys!
Who is the shining star this month? Gene Gibbs is definitely the shining star this month. He’s been playing the entire engineering team, even though he is our engineering JO.
Gamemaster: Robert Archer
Summarize the sim plot so far as if you were providing it to a new member joining the ship: Ship wise the Bonnie has slowed a little. But overall the sim that just began is moving ahead. The Bonnie has located what seems a old earth radio message from 2003 calling anyone for help. The source seems to be the crew and mostly intact shuttle Columbia confirmed lost with all hands while on reentry in 2003’s accident. The crew are now preparing to send down a shuttle pod to the planet and site with the shuttle to get a better idea of what is going on
Who was the biggest contributor this month to driving the sim forward?
FComm’s Comments: Bonnie has had a slow month in their down time between sims. She is in need of a CE and CSO as well as JOs. Being an alt era ship can make recruiting difficult at times. I encourage anyone and everyone to take a look at Bonnie even if you are not familiar with the Star Trek: Enterprise era. You may find a new love.
Fleet Award Nominations
Star Ship Trooper: Gene Gibbs
Dungeon Master: Rob Archer
USS Leviathan
Commanding Officer: Matt Evans
How is your ship looking overall? Overall things are looking good. I think the crew have marinated together long enough that it’s time to throw them onto the coals… I mean into a new sim. We did lose our CE and are still looking for a replacement there.
What was your favorite moment/post on the ship this month (include a link if possible!)? Nothing at this time.
Name one thing you want to improve on the ship for next month. I would like to find a CE and get a sim going.
Executive Officer: Exempt LOA
Gamemaster: Exempt Self-Sim
FComm’s Comments: XO Report: Exempt due to LOA
GM Report: Exempt due to self-sim ship
Matt and Nathan are doing an excellent job with Leviathan. They will be starting a new main sim soon, and given the creativity of the crew I am sure it will be outstanding to watch/read. They are in need of a new CE, so if you want to try your hand at not just keeping a ship running but all kinds of odd things contained, Levi might be right for you.
USS Manhattan
Commanding Officer: James Sinclair
How is your ship looking overall? Overall we are looking pretty well. AWOL’s are minimal, the main sim is progressing beautifully under the ever-watchful eye of our dear Wookie, and we have a few very nice side sims going; although one does take away a crewmember who has been centric to our success. In March we had 77 posts but a few AWOLs; now we have 113 posts last month and new crew is joining.
What was your favorite moment/post on the ship this month (include a link if possible!)? The two threads with Linds’s Shara and Faye Calloway characters are amazing.
Name one thing you want to improve on the ship for next month. More side simming and out-of-Sim character development.
Executive Officer: Jennifer Ward
How are the DHs doing? Are they all active and participating, both in the main sim and in any side sims? Our department heads are doing well. We have new crew arriving soon as soon as character profiles are ready. I’m excited to see what they bring to the Manhattan. All the DHs are participating in the main sim, and they are all involved in at least one side sim.
How are the JOs doing? Are the all active and participating, both in the main sim and in any side sims? We have JOs! Our roster has started filling out and we have added a few new members this month and they are starting to get their feet wet with their check-ins and into the main sim.
Who is the shining star this month? I have just really liked how this thread has progressed. Our pilot is chatting with our diplomatic officer about where to go if they have to fly out in a hurry. It’s progressed into a lovely discussion of how they arrived to be on the flag ship of the Delta Quadrant. And now the COO has joined in and the story is getting better.

Gamemaster: Gene Gibbs
Summarize the sim plot so far as if you were providing it to a new member joining the ship: The Manhattan experienced an energy wave that, by all indications, may have had a temporal component to it. The crew have been affected by this - some older, and some younger. However, the space around them appears to be the same star system - even if that had changed greatly itself. A small transport was present in the system captained by a strangely dressed Kazon named Zerul, openly nervous about seeing the Manhattan. This became even more when large ships from the ‘Crimson Hegemony’ came on approach wherein he fled. They approached the Manhattan demanding a transit pass or patronship for being within Hegemony space, representing the ‘Great Emperor Marakis’.
Negotiations, or even introductions and explanations fell on deaf ears of these Hegemony ships. Without provocation or warning they began to power up their weapons in a slow show of force. At the same time another energy wave was detected, moving quickly toward them. At the point of a great ball of plasma being launched against the Manhattan, the wave overtook them all. Hegemony ships disappeared, the red giant nearby was a smaller star with several worlds about them - but this time neither showing signs of development or habitation. Sensors, however, had a definite bead on the source of the two waves in a system at the far side of the sector.
Who was the biggest contributor this month to driving the sim forward? I’ll say the crew was in working around with my fits and spurts as I grew more accustomed to my new schedules in life.
FComm’s Comments: The Manhattan is doing very well this month. Their post count has almost doubled and there has been an almost explosion of side sims to go along with the steady active paced main sim. Vacancies have been filled and she’s gained some JOs as well. She’s a strong ship with a lot of creative options and stories to explore.
Fleet Award Nominations
Star Ship Trooper: Steve Johnson and Sam Pennington and Lindsay B
Dungeon Master: Gene Gibbs
USS Memorial
Commanding Officer: Kirt Gartner
How is your ship looking overall? We have a lot of positions I am actively recruiting for however we are solid on Department heads and are mainly working on our stock of JO positions
Addendum: We also NEED to finish the MOTD upgrades as soon as I am able some links are still missing from the Drop down Menus and we still need to get our Dedication plaque Image up
What was your favorite moment/post on the ship this month (include a link if possible!)? N/A
Name one thing you want to improve on the ship for next month. Fill more spots on the roster Get the Dedication Plaque image up on the MOTD and Maybe do some updating of information about the Memorial across the Club as a whole That is If i have time to do any of that :P
Executive Officer: Nicholas Villarreal
How are the DHs doing? Are they all active and participating, both in the main sim and in any side sims? The DHs we have are active in the main sim where appropriate. Our Counselor is currently active in a side sim with the CO. However, our Chief of Security has resigned following an LOA which went longer than intended.
How are the JOs doing? Are the all active and participating, both in the main sim and in any side sims? We have no Junior Officers at this time.
Who is the shining star this month? April’s posting is a little difficult to judge on this front. As a Slow ship, we don’t require as many posts from our crew as other RP environments, and, for various reasons, the whole crew (myself included) posted at roughly the minimum rate. We kept the story going, and everyone’s posts have been of similarly decent quality.
Gamemaster: Sam Pennington
Summarize the sim plot so far as if you were providing it to a new member joining the ship: The USS Memorial was sent to investigate a distress signal sent from a Starfleet base thought to have been abandoned for decades. There, the landing party discovered robots and references to a King in the base computers.
Who was the biggest contributor this month to driving the sim forward? Nicholas Villarreal, as our XO Dantius Massana
FComm’s Comments: The Memorial is moving along in it’s sim. Slightly slower this month, but still making progress, with quality defining rather than quantity. April seems to have been one of those slower months that all ships experience. Memorial is looking to fill several positions so if you are looking for a slower speed ship that is still engaging go check her out and speak to Kirt or Nick.
