USS Genesis

Commanding Officer: Luke Hung

How is your ship looking overall? The Genny is doing pretty well. There were a few crew pick us and they are adding a lot, every once and a while a little new blood (even new old blood in one case) strikes the imagination and drive the side and main plots forward so that’s good. RL has been pounding me pretty hard across the fleet so my posts are down, so I’m sorry about that.

What was your favorite moment/post on the ship this month (include a link if possible!)?

Name one thing you want to improve on the ship for next month.

AFComm’s Comments: XO and GM are excused
I’m excited to see what happens when Kenson and Hjortur look like when they’re back posting regularly

USS Merrimack

Commanding Officer: David Fergusson

How is your ship looking overall? The ship has returned to full health. All DH positions filled. No AWOLs or LOAs at present time. Posting is frequent. Everyone is active and participating, both in the main and side Sims. Two new members have joined us this month, James Gray and Katy Darrah.

What was your favorite moment/post on the ship this month (include a link if possible!)? I’m afraid I don’t have any standout/favourite moment this month. There is a tense, expectant shuttle journey to the Habitat in progress in one thread. There is also the diplomacy and negotiation that has begun once arrived at the Habitat in another thread. Meanwhile, the alien cuckoo child continues to be cared for in Sickbay in another thread.

Name one thing you want to improve on the ship for next month. We need more side Sims to involve more participation and contribution.

Gamemaster: Robert Archer

Summarize the sim plot so far as if you were providing it to a new member joining the ship: Ship wise the Merrimack is overall doing quite well, the ship has had a huge upswing in people joining thanks to a combined effort to recruit people. Sim wise we’ve gotten through some shakey/awkward moments in the sim here with meeting those on the habitat with Dol and his advisors, sent away the media circus that wanted to do big on site interviews, and after a brief meal/snack and some back and forth Q/Aing seems we are on track to get a grand tour of the habitat. If I had to say where we are in the sim? Probably just entering the ‘mid point’ more or less.

Who was the biggest contributor this month to driving the sim forward?

AFComm’s Comments: The Merry is back y’all. I’m so happy for them.

Oed V

Commanding Officer: James Sinclair

How is your ship looking overall? We are looking at a good number of AWOL’s right now. I believe that this is a side effect of my being on LOA and having just recently returned. Added to this difficulty, we also lost our Lt. Gov. However we trended up last month from MArch. 44 posts in March versus 65 in April is an improvement. This uptick coupled with the placement of a new Lt. Gov. in the next few days and a move forward in time to account for A LOT of work being done in the colony itself, and I anticipate a solid improvement in moving forward.

What was your favorite moment/post on the ship this month (include a link if possible!)? Amber DeSadier as the Chief Justice who is taking martial art lessons from a crazy Klingon and his fanatical crew is probably my favorite thread right now.

Name one thing you want to improve on the ship for next month.Getting more governmental roles filled and AWOLs minimized.

AFComm’s Comments: I’m amazed at how much of a difference difference James or any CO can have on a ship that’s been there for quite a long time. I’m excited to see what happens with the Colony

USS Wolverine

Commanding Officer: Terry Sullivan

How is your ship looking overall? The Wolverine has recently experienced a rebirth. i won’t lie, there were some major issues, mostly dealing with real life among the crew, myself included. Dealing with some physical and mental health issues had taken its’ toll on me. Things have finally gotten back on track and things are going smooth.

To complicate matters, we lost our GMT (Jake Ridgely) due to real life military responsibilities. Jake was doing well with his sim and I feel he would have passed and become a full GM. Hope you stay safe, Jake, and you’ll be able to return soon.

That left us without a GM, which seems right now to be the hardest position to fill (due to the GM shortage). But heroes come through when you don’t expect it. The ships XO, James Sinclair) offered to step down as XO and take over the GM role. This was a tough decision, because James was an excellent XO and I really hated to see him leave that position, but he does a great job as GM, as well.

In steps Ray Branch as the new XO. Not really a NEW XO, but a returning one. Ray was the original XO of the Wolverine was she was first commissioned. So, when I began the search for someone to fill that role, I saw that Ray had returned to the club and was currently not filling any XO spots. I jumped at the chance to bring him back and he picked up just where he left off. Ray also did some recruiting to fill a couple of empty slots and was able to convince another great writer to rejoin the ship (D Grisham) as the Wolverine’s CNS.

What was your favorite moment/post on the ship this month (include a link if possible!)?

Name one thing you want to improve on the ship for next month. With things finally settling back into a normal routine for me, I have been able to consistently keep up on posting and hope I can continue in the trend to bring the Wolverine back to the prestigious ship I know she can be!!

Executive Officer: James Sinclair

How are the DHs doing? Are they all active and participating, both in the main sim and in any side sims? With the conclusion of the Sim and the need for a GM, it was decided the last week of the reporting period that I would step down as XO and GM a sim for the Wolverine. That, coupled with the ‘miscommunication’ from a few weeks ago means things have been slower than usual on the ship; but I foresee a strong uptick in posting soon.

How are the JOs doing? Are the all active and participating, both in the main sim and in any side sims?We had some AWOLs accompanying the confusion around the Command Staff, but overall everyone appears to be re-engaging with the ship.

Who is the shining star this month?

Gamemaster: No report submitted

AFComm’s Comments: I’m curious and optimistic about James stepping up in a GM role. I really appreciate Terry for his help keeping up with posting regularly. I can’t wait to see what he has in store for May and the months after

The shining ship of the month is The Merrimack. Great job!
