How are the DHs doing? Are they all active and participating, both in the main sim and in any side sims?We have a couple AWOLs/LOAs, but the DHs have mostly jumped into the side sim I put up, and done so with gusto. We still don’t have a GM or associated Main Sim, which is certainly a cause of struggle.
How are the JOs doing? Are the all active and participating, both in the main sim and in any side sims?We only have two JOs to speak of, but both have been fairly active. From Shaun Tee’s other/past activity, I’m not too worried about his AWOL, though it’d be nice to get everyone posting again.
Who is the shining star this month? Posting has been down a lot this month, but I was a fan of Luke Hung’s Lieutenant Marsh bringing nearly a dozen bottles of wine to his first meeting with the XO. https://www.star-fleet.com/core/stf6/europa/posts/186044/

FComm’s Comments: The new XO seems to be settling in. I would still like to see more people come to this ship to help with posting. Plus they really need a GM.
USS Genesis
Commanding Officer: Luke Hung
How is your ship looking overall? Slow month overall. I, personally am dogging it too. Work has been wearing me down so my posts across all the fleet has been sad, but that being said.
The mission has the Captain and his team have just explained to the diplomats of their impending cultural demise from the Lesscoo. The diplomats however are only more shocked that they are not alone in the universe. How in the world they don’t about the Lesscoo or haven’t see the Lesscoo’s big honking space ships is the current mystery to be solved.
Several side sims are continuing this month. In the Dagen and Reia post we find Reia stopping by the CE’s office. Ahhh love under the warp corp. I did here she makes a mean picnic lunch. Let’s hope Dagen is hungry for his Surprise Lunch Date.
Vanessa is currently launching a one woman campaign to try and makes sure Tom feels a part of the crew by placing his face all over the ship with the message “yes you know me so yes say hello.” Since his condition causes everyone to have amnesia once they are no longer near him....it vague looks like he is lost but no one is ever lost when you got a friend like Slade.
Vanessa is also suggesting a twist on the family therapy angle by using old time phones where you only get audio and not visuals but that does run the risk of someone constantly hanging up when they are mad. Let’s see if her Ma Bell approach fixes the family dynamics
What was your favorite moment/post on the ship this month (include a link if possible!)?
Name one thing you want to improve on the ship for next month.I would like to see more side sims and of course....we are always hiring JO’s.

AFComm’s Comments: I’d like to see more JOs on this ship. Other than that I’m happy to see the Genny getting back into the swing of things.
Hjortur and Kenson are excused as their on LOA
USS Merrimack
Commanding Officer: David Fergusson
How is your ship looking overall? The Merrimack is looking great! I’ve taken a LOA for half this month and unfortunately Robert Archer (GM) has had to take some compassionate leave. The main Sim has not progressed very much, and normally this would be a disaster. They main Sim is in the closing stages and we have met the Sybyl trade delegation now. However, the crew have exceeded themselves in dealing with the lack of a GM and there was an abundance of side Sims concerning Doctor Wong’s psychiatric interviews, Lance’s eye surgery, conversations in the Mess Hall and all kind of other events. I have had real trouble in catching up.
I especially want to thank Bob Spicer for his work this month keeping it together, and as usual Marthese Bugeja.
I still need to replace our outgoing CE with an experienced STF player. I’d like to thank Melissa Aragon for her service.
What was your favorite moment/post on the ship this month (include a link if possible!)? I did laugh when Doctor Wong asked Doctor Cross if she had any questions, and she essentially said, ‘yes, can I go now?’
Name one thing you want to improve on the ship for next month. Our more junior officers, still need to make more longer posts, using more open-ended questions or more hooks on which to hang replies?
And I don’t think we can handle any more junior officers until they do so.
STF is not like a video game with its programmed responses, but more like a jointly written story. It doesn’t just require escapism but imagination too.

Summarize the sim plot so far as if you were providing it to a new member joining the ship: The Merrimack’s current sim is in the end stages. Currently the XO is giving a presentation live to the entire Habitat while a new merchant arrival called the Sybl listen in to learn more as well. On the ship the crew are busy tying up loose ends and getting some side sims going.
Who was the biggest contributor this month to driving the sim forward?
FComm’s Comments: Active and healthy despite some changes. Keep going!
Oed V
Commanding Officer: James Sinclair
How is your ship looking overall? The colony is doing amazing over this last period. We are trending very strongly upwards in posting and activity over the past few reporting periods. In July we had 91 posts, August 166, and in September 543! This is due to several factors. First I would like to acknowledge Joana Ribeiro and Jerome Davis. They came up with a PRISM that was not only a joy to read… but it involved the entire colony. Their plot line spread through the other players and soon we had post after post branching off of their original idea. It has been fantastic to watch. Another factor for our success this month has been the addition of Lindsay B as the new Lieutenant Governor. She has really come in and set a high standard not just by her amazing writing, but her behind-the-scenes activity has been exemplary. From finding older Oed-related documents and information and making it current; to working with me on getting a species submission done and submitted for the Vren -Oed’s historical nemesis- her arrival has sparked so much creativity in the colony it has been a real joy to watch and be involved in. She is such an asset I cannot begin to say how happy I am to have her with us.
What was your favorite moment/post on the ship this month (include a link if possible!)? This entire month has just been amazing. Everyone has done such a great job. I honestly think selecting one would be a disservice to all the great writing going on.
Name one thing you want to improve on the ship for next month. There are few players who have struggled with AWOLs the past period. We are hoping to have everyone consistently active over the upcoming period.
Executive Officer: Lindsay B
How are the DHs doing? Are they all active and participating, both in the main sim and in any side sims? After my first month as Lt. Gov, I’m getting a feel for where things are at and what needs to happen to get Oed where we want it to be. We generated a lot of posts between the City Centre Attacks threads and all the threads spawned by the arrival of my character, but it’s still limited to a group of writers. Going forwards I would love to see the rest of the roster more active and involved, though I know RL has bene a factor for many.
How are the JOs doing? Are the all active and participating, both in the main sim and in any side sims?More or less the same story, but with the way the colony works, civilians have to work harder to generate their own storylines. Going forward I’m hoping to do some specific collaboration in order to help people get the character development they would like to have.
Who is the shining star this month? Joana and Jerome have done a great job getting people involved in their PRSIM, and I have to thank James and Jenn for really helping me get my character settled by allowing her to have so many interesting interactions. It’s been such great fun and I am excited about the future of Oed.

How are the DHs doing? Are they all active and participating, both in the main sim and in any side sims?We currently have all key positions filled and working on side sims while our new GM settles in with a sim.
How are the JOs doing? Are the all active and participating, both in the main sim and in any side sims?We gained a Helmsman! Check out our vacancies on the Wolverine MOTD and ship profile. We are open to any swing positions i.e. medic, CNS, tactical specialist, Ops specialist… the list goes on :)
Who is the shining star this month? Terry has been holding the ship together in the absence of a GM, and everyone is doing their part to stay active.
Gamemaster: No report submitted
FComm’s Comments: No report submitted by the CO, but he has been active this month keeping things going while they were looking for a GM.
