The Foremost Fleet Report - June 2023

USS Ark Angel

Commanding Officer: No report submitted

Executive Officer: D Inman

How are the DHs doing? Are they all active and participating, both in the main sim and in any side sims?As I’m going to be away until after the report dedline, I am filing mine a bit early. Most all of our DHs are participating and pushing their own main sims, however as of writing this there are two that are currently AWOL. Contact emals should be shortly, if not then it will be something that I do when I get back. There are very little side sims going on. We are still in search of a CSO though persistant and hopeful we remain to fill it soon. If anyone is interested please dont hesitate to contact Rob or myself (D. Inman).

How are the JOs doing? Are the all active and participating, both in the main sim and in any side sims? The few JOs we have are all doing good. One is on leave, the other two are in good standings and have been active in their own portion of the main sim.

Who is the shining star this month? I havent seen anything standing out to me this month. I am still getting to meet and get a feel of the personalities of the crew. I havent interacted with everyone and not much has been able to stick out to me just yet.

FComm’s Comments: As of my report, the Ark Angel has 87 in-character posts, up from 75 of the last month, and significantly above the minimum posting necessary for ship health. On other matters of ship health, the AA needs a Chief Science Officer, and preferably two science JO’s as well as another medical staff member. She is also missing a CNS, but this isn’t necessarily a critical role.

We’re transitioning into summer, and we’re seeing some of the ripple effect of that, but overall, the Ark Angel is doing alright for the time being.

USS Asimov

Commanding Officer: Sage Pennington

How is your ship looking overall? We had a slowdown last month from which we are working to bounce back.

What was your favorite moment/post on the ship this month (include a link if possible!)? I’ve enjoyed the posts added to the thread for moving between ships.

Name one thing you want to improve on the ship for next month.I’d like to keep the board a little greener and garner some JOs.

Executive Officer: Riley W

How are the DHs doing? Are they all active and participating, both in the main sim and in any side sims?DHs are mostly doing well. There have been a few periods of very sparse posting in the last few months but it seems to be picking up a bit.

How are the JOs doing? Are the all active and participating, both in the main sim and in any side sims?N/A, we have none

Who is the shining star this month? I think the shining star has to be Mika Jackson, who plays Eulailia Dacascos. She’s been keeping herself active and out of AWOL, which isn’t always easy to do with busy lives like many of us have.

Gamemaster: No report submitted

FComm’s Comments: The Asimov had a total of 74 IC posts at the time of this report, down from 104, and almost double the necessary minimum posts for this Slow ship with her current crew compliment.

The roster is mostly healthy at this point with some outages in the gray, but are accounted for. Overall, the Asimov is on track.

If you want a small, tight-knight ship full of solid writers, about to pull off one of the greatest intelligence ops, now’s a very good time to jump in.

USS Leviathan

Commanding Officer: Mika Jackson

How is your ship looking overall? I am currently delighted with the quality of everyone’s posts. It seems that most people are up to date, and I recently had the chance to onboard some new writers who have been absolutely amazing. They have provided the much-needed boost that the Leviathan required.

What was your favorite moment/post on the ship this month (include a link if possible!)? I have had a few standout moments lately. Jeremy Snyders’ onboarding post as Shoval Drang was great, particularly his portrayal of a Klingon character. I would like to commend him on his fantastic performance. Additionally, Ava’s Vendorian character and her onboarding was truly impressive. I am excited to collaborate further with her and explore the depths of Lieutenant Nyman’s mind. However, if I had to choose a favorite post, it would undoubtedly be the mini Sim created by Kirt. He skillfully set the stage for us, and now we have a fascinating new artifact aboard the Leviathan to study.

Name one thing you want to improve on the ship for next month.AWOLs are consistently a top priority for me. Furthermore, I believe it’s crucial to update the specifications of the Leviathan to include detailed information about the containment areas on the ship. This addition will not only highlight the unique role of the Leviathan but also provide a a better representation of the concept of containing anomalies, enhancing everyone’s understanding and engagement.

Executive Officer: Sage Pennington

How are the DHs doing? Are they all active and participating, both in the main sim and in any side sims?DHs are doing pretty well. On the Levi it’s hard to say what’s main sim vs side sim. But people are keeping busy.

How are the JOs doing? Are the all active and participating, both in the main sim and in any side sims?JOs are very responsive.

Who is the shining star this month? It’s hard to pick just one from such a fine bunch.

Gamemaster: No report submitted

FComm’s Comments: The Leviathan had 158 in-character posts in the last 30 days as of the time of this report, an uptick from 126 of the previous month. She seems to be doing well under the care of Mika and Sage. Most everything is in the green.

The medical department looks a little thin, so if you’re tired of treating disruptor burns, maybe it’s time for something a little more exotic. What’s eating you? It could be the alien egg that got planted in you when you weren’t looking.

USS Manhattan

Commanding Officer: No report submitted

Executive Officer: Jennifer Ward

How are the DHs doing? Are they all active and participating, both in the main sim and in any side sims?We had some long LOAs that lengthened into a brief AWOL, but they have resolved. One has returned and another has had to extend their LOA. We are also losing our COS, so James and I are actively looking to replace that position.

The main sim has had no forward movement as Gene needed to take a break, but everyone has at least one side sim they are participating in.

How are the JOs doing? Are the all active and participating, both in the main sim and in any side sims?As always we have very few JOs, but they are all active in side sims, as again the main sim is currently in a holding pattern.

Who is the shining star this month? En Kaia played by Riley W and Lt jg Sovrk played by D Inman have a really fun sim going, talking about how species develop.

Gamemaster: No report submitted

FComm’s Comments: As of the time of this report, the Manhattan had 66 IC posts in the last 30 days, down from 88 from the previous month. This is close to the minimum required post amount for a Standard ship with the Manhattan’s current crew compliment. The roster itself is in the green, or grayed with LOAs. The ship itself has been on a cooling trend, and as we move into the summer, I hope this steadies out.

The Manhattan does need a few crew across all departments. She is a ship full of advanced writers, and if you’re looking for a place to grow, or challenge yourself, I’m quite sure the Rhino and Kelpie would happily help.

USS Memorial

Commanding Officer: Kirt Gartner

How is your ship looking overall? we are trying to get back into posting at a healthy rate and to get the Memorials roster filled out

What was your favorite moment/post on the ship this month (include a link if possible!)? Emily S taking over as our GM and is proving to be promising and a good omen for things to come

Name one thing you want to improve on the ship for next month.continue to improve upon what we have rebuilt so far

Executive Officer: Clayton Strong

How are the DHs doing? Are they all active and participating, both in the main sim and in any side sims?We have had some issues with AWOL but its getting cleaned up and moving forward.

How are the JOs doing? Are the all active and participating, both in the main sim and in any side sims?We are very short on the ship of JOs. Its hard to have much interaction with them when there aren’t many.

Who is the shining star this month? Once again, I love the sim from Mother Hen.

Gamemaster: No report submitted

FComm’s Comments: As of the time of this report, the Memorial stands at 42 IC posts in the last 30 days, up from 38. It’s still above the healthy mark (37 IC posts) based on the ship’s Slow speed and it’s current crew compliment.

The roster still has a pesky and persistent AWOL at the time of this report, with a little other red fluctuating but otherwise, she seems to be doing okay. Sciences, Engineering, and Medical could use some fresh blood. With the Cardassians snooping around one of the Federation’s research bases, there’s plenty to do for everyone. Now’s a great time to come aboard and get into the action.

SS Sojourner

Commanding Officer: Lucas Foxley

How is your ship looking overall? The sim has slowed down because real life hit Rob and he had to focus elsewhere, but things are picking up. We have a new Armory Chief, but are still looking for a Chief Engineer.

What was your favorite moment/post on the ship this month (include a link if possible!)? I have to say the sudden vicious attack of an alien lizard rat was surprising.

Name one thing you want to improve on the ship for next month. In order to encourage more side sim participation, we are prepping for some shore leave. I hope it will encourage everyone to explore their characters more in depth.

Executive Officer: Steve Johnson

How are the DHs doing? Are they all active and participating, both in the main sim and in any side sims? The Sojourner is moving along at a steady pace. The crew has come back together on the ship to help solve the mystery of what is skittering around the ship.

How are the JOs doing? Are the all active and participating, both in the main sim and in any side sims?We do have a few side simms going and the JO’s are staying active between them and the main sim right now.

Who is the shining star this month?

Gamemaster: No report submitted

FComm’s Comments: The Sojourner had 122 IC posts in the last 30 days, as of this report, up from the 70 posts of last month. I’m so happy to see that, and that she’s well above the healthy mark (41 IC posts) per her current crew compliment. Excellent job y’all. The roster seems to be in fairly good shape.

The command teams all seem to be plugging along, even if some are missing reports. I’m happy to say all ships are relatively healthy and for now are not in troubled waters.

I am missing reports from a number of folks. That may be due to my lack of reminders this month, combined with real life being a problem. I know that Robert Archer has been fairly busy with things. He’s excused. James did reach out to me about his reports, but was unwilling to discuss the matter, citing RL was being a major problem. He’s excused. As for Gene Gibbs and Emily S. I’ve heard nothing.

The Shining Star? - I would say it’s a tossup between the Sojourner and the Leviathan. Sojourner is most improved, but Levi has the most posts overall.
