The Foremost Fleet Report - July 2023

USS Ark Angel

Commanding Officer: Robert Archer

How is your ship looking overall? Overall the ship is doing well, we’ve had some awols in the recent week or so but I have sent out notices to those players. Only big problem is we are still looking for a CNS but that is not a mandatory position for ship health. We could also use more JOs but I’m also happy where we are now too.

Sim wise the crew are readying to get back to the planet to track down the strange wolves.

What was your favorite moment/post on the ship this month (include a link if possible!)?

Name one thing you want to improve on the ship for next month.Find a CNS, try to expand JOs

Executive Officer: D Inman

How are the DHs doing? Are they all active and participating, both in the main sim and in any side sims? All of the DHs are doing good. The main sim is rolling along as we are preparing to split into two away teams, a team of JOs and a team of DHs plus a JO. Everyone is active and no one is AWOL a fact that I am happy and proud of. Towards the end we had one or two that had just turned AWOL but as of posting we’re all good and in the green as far as the DHs go. I’m happy and excited for what is to come. We’ve been able to fill most of our senior staff with the addition of Katie who is playing Lt. Saatynn, a welcome addition to the AA family. I hope that we can get a CNS soon. We are always looking to expand the AA family, if anyone would like to join then you’re welcome to come talk to me or the CO Rob, our lovable Cockroach that he is.

How are the JOs doing? Are the all active and participating, both in the main sim and in any side sims? Our JOs are doing well as well, currently we are preparing them for their own away team giving them the ability to flex their creative muscles as well. There is one JO that is currently AWOL. A contact email has been sent out and hopefully we are able to get a reply or are able to bring them back and post. I’ve been happy with our activity on the ship, there were a few less AWOLs that I remember this month and I’m glad that we have the crew that we do. There are a few emerging side sims that have potential and I’m excited for the future. We are also able to welcome Ava to the AA family as well as she transferred to the ship bring along Ensign T’Mor. If at all possible I know I would, and I am sure that Rob would agree that if we could get just a few more JOs especially a few for Engineering then we’d be just right were we would love to be.

Who is the shining star this month? That’s a tough one. There are so many good characters on the ship, well thought out and well developed characters that really have a lot of personality. I’m still getting to know everyone, and though I haven’t been able to really interact with the two I think of this month, I really would have to say Both Katie with Saatynn and Ava with T’More really come to the forfront of my mind. Not only both are new to the ship (At least since I’ve been here) I find myself excited to read the side sim they have going on with the first meeting between the CSO who isn’t exactly your every day average Vulcan. (Is there such a thing?) And another Vulcan who seems air more to the traditional side. I await what may happen next with a preverbal baited breath.

Gamemaster: Robert Archer

Summarize the sim plot so far as if you were providing it to a new member joining the ship: See CO report

Who was the biggest contributor this month to driving the sim forward?

FComm’s Comments: Alright, so for the month of July, the Ark Angel had 86 IC posts at the time of my report, nearly the same as June. Overall the ship seems healthy and the roster is mostly green, though she could use a little love in the medical department? (Doctor Love, anyone?) The Science department is a little light, as well, but medical is more in need at the moment.

Overall, Rob and D are on the ball as always.

USS Asimov

Commanding Officer: Sage Pennington

How is your ship looking overall? We’re doing pretty well. I need to check in with a couple DHs.

What was your favorite moment/post on the ship this month (include a link if possible!)?

Name one thing you want to improve on the ship for next month.I would like to see more side sims.

Executive Officer: No report submitted

Gamemaster: James Sinclair

Summarize the sim plot so far as if you were providing it to a new member joining the ship: The new undercover Asimov is getting ready for their hardest maneuver yet in order to get the attention of the Shadow Syndicate they are trying to bring down: the abduction of two High Value Targets from a high-security luxury yacht. Cover identities are in place and they are boarding the yacht now. But whether or not they succeed is anyone’s guess.

Who was the biggest contributor this month to driving the sim forward? Jennifer Ward as the CoS Lt. Cmdr. Gadi. Her work at digging into the information they have and trying to plan for contingencies is fantastic.

FComm’s Comments: Uhhhhhh… Yeah. So, 707 IC posts at the time of this report, in the last 30 days. Uh.. we’re good. That’s almost 100x the posting from June. I actually had a hard time getting the posts into my analysis tools because of how the site was acting. Out-freakin’-standing.

The roster is mostly green with a little bit of red. I’ll be sure to indulge in some self flagellation later. One is minor, the other is longer lasting. May need to reach out to the Asimov’s command team and get a bead on that. Otherwise, wow!

USS Leviathan

Commanding Officer: Mika Jackson

How is your ship looking overall? Overall.the ship is looking great. I am very proud of the group of writers I have on the ship at this moment.

What was your favorite moment/post on the ship this month (include a link if possible!)? I liked Ava’s onboarding post: https://www.star-fleet.com/core/stf1/leviathan/posts/221118/
I enjoy seeing her develop her character and look forward to how he will handle his counseling role.

Name one thing you want to improve on the ship for next month.AWOLs have improved but until we can get to a point where we have 0, that will be my focus. I also want to get some JOs onbaord as well as figure out our next mission.

Executive Officer: Sage Pennington

How are the DHs doing? Are they all active and participating, both in the main sim and in any side sims?Broadly speaking, the DHs are keeping active. The Leviathan doesn’t have a strict main sim, but activity is steady.

How are the JOs doing? Are the all active and participating, both in the main sim and in any side sims?We don’t have many JOs, but those we have maintain activity.

Who is the shining star this month? Our CO, Mika Jackson. For the active crew she’s built.

Gamemaster: No report submitted

FComm’s Comments: The Leviathan had 119 IC posts in the last 30 days at the time of this report, which is a slight decrease from June. However, it’s the middle of summer, and a lot of things are up in the air.

A great green beast she is, this month, with the roster looking fairly solid.

Sadly, this will be the last report and testament for the U.S.S. Leviathan with The Foremost Fleet. With the recent decommissionings, it seems the other fleets are i need of some bolstering. So it is with heavy heart that the Leviathan ventures deeper into the void. However, it seems she is finding a new home with the Pioneer Fleet.

Following winds and clear horizons.

USS Manhattan

Commanding Officer: James Sinclair

How is your ship looking overall? The Manny has slowed down significantly. We dropped to 48 posts last month; a fact I attribute to my long LOA and the Main Sim stalling. We have addressed both issues (I came back from vacation) and the GM and I spoke and we have cut the Main Sim and started a new one fresh. We are hoping that will churn up activity to a more acceptable level.

What was your favorite moment/post on the ship this month (include a link if possible!)? The thread with the Counselor’s son, the XO, and the Mess Chef is a lot of fun.

Name one thing you want to improve on the ship for next month.MORE POSTING. Next month the goal is over a hundred posts. Personally I would like to see double that, but coming off of such a hard slump I want to keep goals realistic.

Executive Officer: Jennifer Ward

How are the DHs doing? Are they all active and participating, both in the main sim and in any side sims? This last month hit us hard. James and I were both slow and in and out due to real life being ugly and annoying. The DH did a good job of keeping themselves active in side sims. Our main sim has come to a halt, but after word from Gene we will be starting a new sim soon. We currently have DHs that are AWOL. One is a huge concern that James and I are addressing, the other is just barely over the time. We lost our COS, but we have a new one! Lucas Foxley is joining us as our new Betazoid COS, Eilah Fayth. We are very excited to have him on board.

How are the JOs doing? Are the all active and participating, both in the main sim and in any side sims? Our JOs are amazing. They are few, but they are mighty. We are always looking for more JOs and swings.

Who is the shining star this month? Lieutenant j.g. Sovrk, CSO by D Inman and Ensign Kaia, eng by Riley W. They have been the most active of our whole crew this month and their thread is just a really fun read.

Gamemaster: Gene Gibbs

Summarize the sim plot so far as if you were providing it to a new member joining the ship: The new sim has just begun - The Lost Latinum Mine of Terra Nova - where the Manhattan has accidentally, during a routine Stellar mapping scan, discovered that what they had thought initially was a rogue asteroid was indeed a derelict ship, that of the Red Dwarf, showing no energy emissions, adrift in space. Where will this lead? We shall see ..

Who was the biggest contributor this month to driving the sim forward?

FComm’s Comments: The Manhattan has 102 IC posts at the time of this report. I’m not sure where James is getting only 48 from. I suppose over the last few days those numbers could have swelled significantly with a concerted effort to post, combined with a new sim starting.

The roster is all in the green save for one spot of red, and a bit of gray.

in other matters, the Manhattan is in need of a CMO as well as Junior Officers in general.

Otherwise, it’s mostly smooth sailing from up here in the clouds.

USS Memorial

Commanding Officer: Kirt Gartner

How is your ship looking overall? we are slowly getting the ship healthy again while I believe becoming a good example of good character in that we accepted Tim Frouge AKA Frogger on the ship he left the club in a fit a few years ago I believe everyone deserves a second chance so I am giving him that chance!

What was your favorite moment/post on the ship this month (include a link if possible!)?

Name one thing you want to improve on the ship for next month.staying on top of awol and getting posts moving faster than a slow ship should

Executive Officer: Clayton Strong

How are the DHs doing? Are they all active and participating, both in the main sim and in any side sims? All the department heads seems to be responding well and posting with good posts and what not. There seems to be a decent amount of posting going on from the department heads.

How are the JOs doing? Are the all active and participating, both in the main sim and in any side sims? There are only a few JOs on the ship. And they seem to be doing decently with what is going on currently both with the main sims and a few reporting in for new folks.

Who is the shining star this month? Aza has stood out helping with the away mission I’m currently leading. She has good input and good ideas to help with keeping it moving forward.

Gamemaster: No report submitted

FComm’s Comments: So the Memorial currently stands at 38 IC posts in the last 30 days as of the time of this report, down from 42 for June. We’ve got more red in the roster than I care for. I will see about following up with Kirt and Clayton about this shortly.

Currently the Memorial is in need of a Chief of Neuro-Sciences, aka Ship’s Counselor. Science and Engineering are light on personnel, and has anybody been to Sickbay lately?

SS Sojourner

Commanding Officer: Lucas Foxley

How is your ship looking overall? Overall we’re looking good. I’m liking the main sim involvement, we have a few AWOLs here and there but nothing extended. I’d still like to see a bit more side simming but overall we’re looking pretty good. Main sim is slowly moving along.

What was your favorite moment/post on the ship this month (include a link if possible!)? https://www.star-fleet.com/core/stf1/sojourner/posts/220695/

The main sim, specifically, when we shot the bug and goop shot out of it all over the crew, much to their disgust.

Name one thing you want to improve on the ship for next month.I’d like to see some more side simming. I’d like to see the main sim keep plugging along. I’d also like to see the command staff be a little more present, self included.

Executive Officer: Steve Johnson

How are the DHs doing? Are they all active and participating, both in the main sim and in any side sims? It’s been rough this past month on the DH’s. We are down a Chief Engineer, James was on LOA for a large part of July, and Hjortur is only able to post so much. But overall, the DH’s are still posting here and there to keep things moving.

How are the JOs doing? Are the all active and participating, both in the main sim and in any side sims?JO’s are doing great! They have been getting very involved with the sim, and they have several side sim’s going with our CO.

Who is the shining star this month?

Gamemaster: Robert Archer

Summarize the sim plot so far as if you were providing it to a new member joining the ship: The crew have finally dealt with the strange alien bug creature, and now turn their attention back to the strange signal and energy draining on the planet, their surveys of the Wolf 359 system and how they will deal with the natives, and the death of the NE’s from the bug creature.

Who was the biggest contributor this month to driving the sim forward?

FComm’s Comments: The Sojourner had 71 IC posts at the time of this report. That’s down from 122 posts in June, but still almost twice what the ship requires to be healthy. Still doing a great job over there. Also the roster is completely green. All people are active and posting which is always outstanding and lovely to see.

All the departments look strong too, though maybe the armory chief could use some backup. Otherwise, perfect.

The commands teams all seem to be active and doing their thing. Got some rough spots to work out but otherwise, we’re doing alright. No unexcused reports.

The Boat That Rocks goes to the freaking Asimov. I dunno what got dropped into the water supply, but that ship exploded.
Kudos to the Sojourner for being an example to aspire to as well.
