The Pioneer Fleet Report - July 2023

USS Athena

Commanding Officer: No report submitted

Executive Officer: Sam Haynes

How are the DHs doing? Are they all active and participating, both in the main sim and in any side sims?Everything looks good for the DH’s from a high level view. They’re engaged in the main sim, and the Athena’s side sim game is strong. Well, save for our CMO. I will get in touch with Tony and see what that’s about and, of course, I have my trusty blowtorch.

How are the JOs doing? Are the all active and participating, both in the main sim and in any side sims? Not as well as I would like. There’s more red and gray in the roster than I am happy with. Looks like we’ve got some work to do toward getting the Athena ship shape.

Who is the shining star this month? Honestly, I couldn’t tell you, save for the crew that have been soldiering on through the last month.

Gamemaster: Sage Pennington

Summarize the sim plot so far as if you were providing it to a new member joining the ship: The Athena is caught in a temporal anomaly. Along with it is a ship from the future, the USS Shai. The combined crews have slowed the effect. One member of each crew has been timeswapped over to the other.

Who was the biggest contributor this month to driving the sim forward? Lindsay B.

FComm’s Comments: A few swing vacancies on the board. Reach out to Tony if interested! A few AWOLS, but that was addressed above :)

USS Atlantis

Commanding Officer: Kate O’Neill

How is your ship looking overall? The Atlantis had 179 posts for the month of July. Not bad for a summer month with people taking time off to enjoy life and family time.
The main sim is moving along at a steady place. The debris from the USS Reliant has been confirmed along with radiation from the Genesis wave. The crew is now postulating that the Darkness which is feared by most of this quadrant’s inhabitants might have been created or influenced by this wave.

The side sim continues to spotlight everyone in their fields with multiple threads under a theme of the aliens attacking the Altantis.

What was your favorite moment/post on the ship this month (include a link if possible!)? I have enjoyed the posts written by our newest crewmember Justin Woods who portrays Jacen Flexwood. He is in several threads engaging numerous writers on the ship. Each thread is different and engaging

Name one thing you want to improve on the ship for next month.Continue to try and keep the crew engaged in threads they enjoy writing.

Executive Officer: Gene Gibbs

How are the DHs doing? Are they all active and participating, both in the main sim and in any side sims?Given that my return from a rather long absence .. I think that the crew has done pretty darn good. Strangely doing well without me necessarily there .. hmmm. But yes, the crew from my catching up has done well in the last while and am confident that they have deported themselves well. As we range more into the sim to push that ahead we will try to engage more people in that.

How are the JOs doing? Are the all active and participating, both in the main sim and in any side sims?

Who is the shining star this month?

Gamemaster: Luke Hung

Summarize the sim plot so far as if you were providing it to a new member joining the ship: The crew has learned that the energy from the Genesis device may have affected an possibly altered another race in the sector of space they are in called the Darkness. The away team is exploring the abandoned base for clues about its previous inhabitants

Who was the biggest contributor this month to driving the sim forward?

Who was the biggest contributor this month to driving the sim forward? Gene

FComm’s Comments: The Atlantis has been pretty active this month, kudos to Kate and team :)

USS Chimera

Commanding Officer: Katherine Dedul

How is your ship looking overall? Overall, we have a few straggling AWOLs, but I’m addressing those. I have a full compliment of DHs now so I’m working on getting them all at least one JO to work with.

Gene has joined us for his GM simm and we’re off to save a stricken pleasure cruise ship, so looking forward to seeing what adventures he has in store for us. :)

What was your favorite moment/post on the ship this month (include a link if possible!)? Travis Good continues to entertain us all with various character development type threads, both as his marine character and as CE.

Name one thing you want to improve on the ship for next month.Mainly I want to recruit a few more JOs as I find it’s easier for everyone to keep busy when they have people in their department to interact with.

Executive Officer: No report submitted

Gamemaster: No report submitted

FComm’s Comments: A few AWOLS, but Kat is looking into this. Great job on filling the DH vacancies :)

USS Ogawa

Commanding Officer: No report submitted

Executive Officer: James Sinclair

How are the DHs doing? Are they all active and participating, both in the main sim and in any side sims? The majority of DH’s are doing well, and are doing solid work. There are a couple of DH spots I would like to see more activity out of, but that will be a goal for this month.

How are the JOs doing? Are the all active and participating, both in the main sim and in any side sims? Our JOs and swings are doing a great job of both being participatory in the Sim and in doing side sims to really develop their charaters.

Who is the shining star this month? D Inman as Lieutenant Junior Grade Maria, the Chief Engineer. Playing anything other than medical roles on a dedicated medical ship is hard, but D has made the ship hum as the CE.

Gamemaster: No report submitted

FComm’s Comments: Active board! A few AWOLs over 10 days, but looks like the team will look into that for the upcoming month.
