USS Atlantis

Commanding Officer: Kate O’Neill

How is your ship looking overall? The Atlantis had 146 posts for the month of August. With the wrap-up of summer and for those in education it was a busy month but the crew continued to post amazing and engaging threads.

MAIN SIM: The GM has made a link to the Darkness and the Federation which suggests the current scourge in the sector of space the Atlantis is floating around might have been caused by Starfleet.

SIDE SIMS: In the aftermath of the attack on the Atlantis, the crew is looking for the reasons why. Wedding bells are ringing. Who doesn’t like a good wedding? Keep reading the Vaycay thread and we will find out. Dr. Bren Satis is questioning his tenure on the Atlantis. The new CTO is dealing with political and romantic maneuvers.

What was your favorite moment/post on the ship this month (include a link if possible!)? Well not a favorite post but congrats to the most romantic couple....our very own Mardusk can Cara. Great job guys and great writing.

Name one thing you want to improve on the ship for next month.Keep my head above water and keep my crew busy and engaged.

USS Chimera

How is your ship looking overall? Overall we’re okay. I see a few AWOLs happening, which I did expect due to my XO off playing with a mouse in Florida and my own computer issues (which are resolved now). I’ll be looking to get people posting some more as I think everyone just needs a gentle nudge.

What was your favorite moment/post on the ship this month (include a link if possible!)?

Name one thing you want to improve on the ship for next month.I would like to fill out the roster a bit more with some JOs, I find when each department has at least one JO, the AWOL frequencies drop significantly. For example, my marine fighter wing is very rarely sinking into AWOL territory because they can play off each other.

USS Ogawa

How are the DHs doing? Are they all active and participating, both in the main sim and in any side sims?DH posting is okay, but not as active as I would like to see. AWOLs are a concern, but Linds and I are both aware of the trend and are looking at remedies.

How are the JOs doing? Are the all active and participating, both in the main sim and in any side sims?Activity level is steady, but could be stepped up a bit.

Who is the shining star this month? Brandon Irvine, who plays our Chief of Staff and Second Officer, has been dong a solid job of reigning in the ever-argumentative head of Research and Development as well as ensuring there wasn’t a complete diplomatic fiasco in the main sim.

Both Linds and James are looking into the AWOLS. The Ogawa has been more consistent with their activity, so there aren’t any large concerns this time around.

Overall: Excuse me for parroting my past reports. AWOLs continue to be the main reason for a decline in posting. We’re finding no easy solution to combat this, though I’m sure there will be some great ideas during the next open session :)
