The Pioneer Fleet Report - December 2018

USS Athena

Commanding Officer: No report submitted

Executive Officer: No report submitted

Gamemaster: Ian Kerby

Crew Posting Level: 6
Senior Staff Posting Level: 6
Overall Ship Health: 6

Sim Overview: The Guardian has been saved by the timely intervention of the science and medical teams who used parts of Rxzyth’s own silicon matrix to patch the ailing biological machine.

The Aegis have requested that all crew return to the ship to be reintegrated with their past selves. Many interesting conversations will follow this unique experience. Although the Aegis are thankful for the Athena’s role in returning their ancient history to the time line and restoring their presence on the Guardian’s planet they are eager for the Athena to return to its own time millennia in the future.

Unbeknownst to the Athena crew their intervention with the Counter Strike Operative Pierce has enabled Federation Timeship One to track his intervention to the Eridian Vault and the stolen Vedala Confluence Drive thereby completing the Mobius Strip and ensuring that the Timeship would indeed be one day built…

Spotlight: Rest in Peace Jeremy. The ship will never be the same without you but your memory will continue in the Athena’s adventures and in our hearts.

FComm’s Comments: The crew of the USS Athena produced 99 posts for the month of November. This is below the limits for the posting speed of the ship. This could easily have been caused by the Thanksgiving holiday and other events this month on STF; however, the posts are well written as usual and the storylines intriguing. Keep up the good work guys.

USS Atlantis

Commanding Officer: Kate O’Neill

Crew Posting Level: 9
Senior Staff Posting Level: 9
Overall Ship Health: 9

Ship Status: The ship is doing very well for being without a GM at this time. The varying side sims have provided places for the crew to RP at this time until the new main sim begins. The new main sim will begin after the Christmas holidays have ended. During this time of slower posting due to real life commitments, I encourage the crew to have fun posting and try something different: Silly, fun, dramatic, thrilling. Thank you for all those that have created side sims that have allowed the crew to post this month as things are sorted out.

Spotlight: This month my spotlight goes to Jeremy DeSpain. While he did not post this month, his writing has always been creative, exciting, and intriguing. His characters on the Atlantis created a diverse place to roleplay over the years and will be missed.

USS Dresden

Commanding Officer: Jerome Davis

Crew Posting Level: 8
Senior Staff Posting Level: 8
Overall Ship Health: 8

Ship Status: The new sim has kicked off and the Sidesim that has been going for quite some time is getting more interesting by the day. We welcomed Harley Cartee back into our ranks and are excited to have back one of the best in the game. Many thanks to Kenson on a great sim and we look forward to this new one. The Dresden continues to grow and make strides toward returning her once great status and I thank each and every member of the crew for their outstanding work this month.

Spotlight:

Executive Officer: Joana Ribeiro

Crew Posting Level: 7
Senior Staff Posting Level: 7
Overall Ship Health: 7

Ship Status: With the start of a new sim and a few new members, things sped up a little on the Dresden in November. The crew seems to be posting consistently and within AWOL limits which I have been very happy to see. I am hoping we can keep the rhythm going during December.

Spotlight: This month’s spotlight goes to the Dresden’s new CMO, Cass Young. She’s an extraordinary writer and I have been throughly enjoying her amazingly creative posts. I am really looking forward to see what Dr. Janvier and her dog Enj will be bringing us next!

USS Ogawa

Commanding Officer: Cale Reilly

Crew Posting Level: 5
Senior Staff Posting Level: 5
Overall Ship Health: 5

Ship Status: The ship has now made it to our destination and the sim is underway, we have had some excellent side sims going on across the ship but I would really like to see some more engagement from all crew in the main sim as some tags or main sim post opportunities are being overlooked.

We said goodbye to Julia this month and are sorry to see her go. We also welcomed Harley Cartee back to the ogawa as our new XO! A few other crew changes has given us some new blood and I am excited to see where these characters will go.

Spotlight: Brandon Irvine, Kate O’Neill, Steven Sigle, Sam Pennington, James Sinclair all get bamboo cookies for some great posting this month.

Outpost 42

Commanding Officer: Adam W.

Crew Posting Level: 5
Senior Staff Posting Level: 4
Overall Ship Health: 6

Ship Status: Another rather slow month, but not quite as much so as October. I’m still not back to my normal rhythm of posting, which probably doesn’t help everybody else. We’re still needing an SOO and a counselor, but we did bring back Louis Harvatt with a security JO.

Were this a normal month I’d use the spotlight section to focus on how completely amazing the threads Steven and Kate are, but this isn’t a normal month.

Spotlight: A big spotlight to Jeremy DeSpain. Not including this, I’ve spotlighted Jeremy in nine different months for his contributions to Outpost 42. He was a brilliant writer. My favorite thread to think back on was when he introduced Gunny to Mathias back when Mathias was the XO. Gunny pretended to be a temporal agent with a message from the future that was from a future Mathias who, naturally, in the future had become an admiral. I’m looking forward to being able to read that one again.

But beyond his outstanding writing, he also stood up for me as CO of Outpost 42 when he was President. He’s meant a lot to the Outpost, to STF as a whole, and to me.

Executive Officer: Kate O’Neill

Crew Posting Level: 8
Senior Staff Posting Level: 10
Overall Ship Health: 9

Ship Status: The ship is doing very well. Steven has created a Christmas sim that he hopes will let people write fun and silly for the holiday. Think a modern interpretation of a reversed Grinch or maybe Jessica is the Grinch. We shall see. Kudos to Liam for an amazing sim so far.

Spotlight: My Spotlight goes to Melissa Aragon. I loved her writing about Toveka’s struggle in the main sim. Nice job Melissa.

Gamemaster: No report submitted

FComm’s Comments: The crew of Outpost 42 produced 75 posts for the month of November. This is within the posting limits for the speed of the ship. Keep up the good work guys.
