The Meridian Fleet Report - May 2019

USS Brian A. Olinski

Commanding Officer: Sidney Parker

Crew Posting Level: 6
Senior Staff Posting Level: 6
Overall Ship Health: 7

Ship Status: even if the sim fluctuated a little from slow to medium in posting it has remained well managed and moving forward. So overall the sim and ship are doing well.

Spotlight: I’m going with Luke Hung as Balfor. Again just being that steady Away Team influence and overall good poster. Also Melissa Aragon as the mentally rattled squad leader Primage. She has done a great job with taking a rather small story line and making it into something.

Vacancies: CMO for Pete’s sake. Can someone look under a bed for one.

Executive Officer: R Smith

Crew Posting Level: 3
Senior Staff Posting Level: 5
Overall Ship Health: 4

Ship Status: We end the month with a record breaking number of LOAs and late or AWOL players. Aside of the CO, XO, CSO, CE, and GM, there is hardly anyone posting right now.

Spotlight: Spotlight on players Luke Hung Sam Pennington, and who’s characters have beamed down in two different away teams and are basically having to carry entire scenes by themselves since everyone else planetside seems to be having an LOA right now.

Vacancies: We still need a CMO.

Gamemaster: No report submitted

AFComm’s Comments: I’m thankful to be apart of the Olinski and love seeing how the characters interact with each other. Though posting has slowed down (myself included due to final exams) I do see the ship bouncing back to action shortly. Sydney Parker, R Smith, and Kenson Koh are doing a great job at keeping everyone involved

USS Chernov

Commanding Officer: Krystelle McLean

Crew Posting Level: 8
Senior Staff Posting Level: 8
Overall Ship Health: 8

Ship Status: The sim has been a bit slow to kick into gear due to my being LOA so much and being so ill. Phil too has been quite busy this month but we have finally and officially performed the change of command so Travis is now CO both IC and OOC. I have moved down to the XO position. I am sooo looking forward to this sim that Phil has created for us. Should be very exciting, it has many of my favorite things like Vulcans, Romulans and Klingons! Well, possibly…Phil is devious:P

Spotlight: I’d like to highlight Trinity Fisher this month. Trinity plays an amazing Vulcan CMO and I have to say it is one of the most authentic Vulcans I have ever seen. Way to go Trinity!

Vacancies:

Executive Officer: Travis Good

Crew Posting Level: 8
Senior Staff Posting Level: 9
Overall Ship Health: 8

Ship Status: We are in the beginning of a SIM going to old Vulcan. We have three remaining Vulcan High Command on the ship and are going on a mission to recover valuable Vulcan artifacts. The catch is that there a Romulan and Orion ship at the location where we are heading. We also just did a change of command ceremony and this will likely be my last report as the ship’s XO.

Spotlight: Everyone is doing a great job at keeping themselves busy and side SIM’s going. We got a few new crew and that helps!

Vacancies:

Gamemaster: No report submitted

AFComm’s Comments: A few LOAs around this time of year is normal. I’m curious to see how the former CO and XO do when the roles are reversed ;)

USS Odin

Commanding Officer: Steven Sigle

Crew Posting Level: 7
Senior Staff Posting Level: 7
Overall Ship Health: 7

Ship Status: New sim underway as we investigate a freighter giving off weird signals, is it a trap or more?

Spotlight:

Vacancies:

Executive Officer: No report submitted

Gamemaster: No report submitted

AFComm’s Comments: It doesn’t appear that the current LOAs are affecting the ship too much. Certainly enjoying reading the beginning of the new sim!

USS Saracen

Commanding Officer: David Shotton

Crew Posting Level: 10
Senior Staff Posting Level: 7
Overall Ship Health: 10

Ship Status: The Saracen has had a great month in April, pushing through 248 posts during the month. We had a few LOA’s including our wonderful GM, who despite being rather sick kept posting when she could, thank you Krys for helping to keep the Sim moving when you were able!

The crew is pretty well rounded out with all Senior DH and Swing positions full. Unfortunately we lost Linds as our CMO while she cut back her characters but that opened the door for Andrew Robinson to step in on his return as our CMO.

As you would expect for a ship with nearly 250 posts for the month, the board has been busy with many a side sim running as the crew has some fun and explores their characters after the Saracen’s long layover at Starbase. The main sim looks to be getting interesting and fun as well, and I do believe Krys intends to scratch the paint on my newly refurbished Battlecruiser. Sad face.

Spotlight: The pleasant problem to have on the Saracen, is just who to spotlight. We have so many strong and talented writers that picking just one is always hard. Everybody on the crew can write, and write strongly. Their characters are all well thought out, deep and interesting and show that in their RP.

One however must be chosen, and by virtue of this person being pretty much everywhere and playing possibly the busiest Counselor in Starfleet, James Sinclair takes the Spotlight for April. Well done James.

However, thank you to the entire crew of the Saracen. It is your enjoyment of the stories you write that make it arguably one of the best ships in STF to be a part of.

Vacancies: We have JO positions open for Medical and Science staff, please see the ship page for applications guidelines.

Executive Officer: Christopher Bennett

Crew Posting Level: 8
Senior Staff Posting Level: 8
Overall Ship Health: 8

Ship Status: The Saracen is currently investigating some strange signals coming from a nebula. We decided to enter the nebula to investigate. There are also some strange injuries among the crew.

All and all a great month for the Saracen.

Spotlight: The whole crew! Everyone is doing a great job at being active and involved in the sim. Keep up the good work.

Vacancies:

Gamemaster: Krystelle McLean

Crew Posting Level: 8
Senior Staff Posting Level: 7
Overall Ship Health: 7

Sim Overview: The sim has been a bit slow to start but I think we are finally getting there. A combination of crew trying to finish their side sim posts and my being ill so long. I am attempting to get things moving again though. This crew is an amazing rp bunch! They love character development and posting so once the sim really hits high gear I think we are going to sail through it:)

Spotlight:

AFComm’s Comments: Very active ship :) No issues here
