The Pioneer Fleet Report - July 2019

USS Athena

Commanding Officer: No report submitted

Executive Officer: Miriam W

Crew Posting Level: 8
Senior Staff Posting Level: 6
Overall Ship Health: 7

Ship Status: We have some AWOL folks and a couple of long LOAs, but other than that it’s been fairly good. The Beaver and I have been working to get everything sorted.

The sim is going quite well. We’re starting to really see the plot move, as Mirror versions of ourselves get into all sorts of mischief!

I’m also seeing quite a few nice side sims, which is always great to see!

Gamemaster: Ian Kerby

Crew Posting Level: 7
Senior Staff Posting Level: 7
Overall Ship Health: 7

Sim Overview: To add to all the difficulties it appears that there is a mirror universe doppelgänger on board the Athena with an agenda yet to be revealed.

The away team sent to the planet to restore the weather and seismic regulations have run into trouble with the peace talk delegates who are more than a little anxious about a strange ship appearing in the middle of the tense negotiations.

An ensign in sickbay seems to have eaten not one but two chocolate sundaes and the doppelgänger sundae is exhibiting a strange energy signature that seems somehow familiar…

FComm’s Comments: The crew of the Athena is well within their limits with 213 posts for the month of June. Awesome work guys. Keep up the amazing writing.

USS Atlantis

Commanding Officer: Kate O’Neill

Crew Posting Level: 10
Senior Staff Posting Level: 9
Overall Ship Health: 10

Ship Status: The Atlantis’ main sim has the crew scattered about an alien space station. Everyone is posting and having fun. The crew has a wide variety of side sims going keeping everyone busy. There was also a boon in promotions. Please congratulate everyone on their hard work and dedication to the USS Atlantis with amazing stories. I am so proud of each and every one of you.

Spotlight: My spotlight goes out to Dave Shotton and Ffion Grace this month. The story they are writing is placed on the holodeck where they play a pair of beat cops keeping the streets of Bay City safe for women and children. Miss Keene is patrolling the aerial aspect of the area while Nash is covering the ground level with”his favorite friend, an old Webley .455 revolver that looked like it had seen better days, but never let him down when he needed it.” Without the use of tricorders, they are employing smoke signals to communicate. I heard from a small bird that Nash has a secret splinter skill: He can blow smoke rings into morse code. I guess there is a reason for that cigar. ;) All jokes aside this post is amazing writing and I am so happy to read every installment.

USS Dresden

Commanding Officer: Jerome Davis

Crew Posting Level: 6
Senior Staff Posting Level: 5
Overall Ship Health: 6

Ship Status: It’s been a rough summer on the Dresden, as the sim drew to a close, posting faded away and a vast majority of the crew’s senior leadership went on club-wide LOAs. But in the past few weeks, the Command Team made some rather aggressive moves to breath life and energy back into the ship! Yesterday, we welcomed Andrew Robinson as our new GM and will be starting an exciting new sim this week and thanks to that as well as life calming on my end… Joana and I are looking forward to an exciting month on the Dresden. We have also welcomed a new CNS in the form of the amazing Sarah Hemenway! As we move forward, I see good days ahead for the Dres’!

Spotlight: Highlights this month go to Sarah Hemenway and Emily S. for their amazing storyline as well as Joana Ribeiro for her great side sim work!

Vacancies: JOs in all Departments

Executive Officer: Joana Ribeiro

Crew Posting Level: 8
Senior Staff Posting Level: 8
Overall Ship Health: 8

Ship Status: June was a great month for the Dresden with 147 posts. We had a few new members joining the crew and some great side sims going on! In general the Dresden has been picking up speed and there are still some new changes lined up to happen in the month of July which I think will bring even more life to the ship.

Spotlight: This month I’d like to spotlight Sarah Hemenway, the Dresden’s new CNS, and Emily S., a Medical JO, for their amazing writing in Ensign Bailey’s quarters and overall wonderful storytelling. It’s been an absolute delight to read!

Vacancies: JOs in all departments

Gamemaster: Andrew Robinson

Crew Posting Level: 1
Senior Staff Posting Level: 1
Overall Ship Health: 2

Sim Overview: As of the first week of this month, I’ve just come aboard as GM, taking over from Kenson. The upcoming sim promises to be exciting, dramatic and more than a little explodey.

FComm’s Comments: The crew of the USS Dresden has posting amazing work this month. They are well within their posting limits for the month of June with 147 posts. Great job guys keep it up.

USS Ogawa

Commanding Officer: Cale Reilly

Crew Posting Level: 4
Senior Staff Posting Level: 6
Overall Ship Health: 6

Ship Status: The owie has suffered from some LOAs and AWOLs this month but we are still ticking away. A few new faces have joined us and will be joining us in the coming weeks which is fun. The main sim is progressing and more or less everyone is getting involved which was my main concern in recent months of crew disengagement despite the best efforts of everyone involved. This sim is perfect for helping change that and I cannot thank Linds enough for the work she puts in and everyone who has gotten involved so far. This is the kind of environment I like to CO and I am so grateful for the work everyone has put in.

Spotlight: Once again Sam and Iain, or as I am now referring to them “Secondary Sickbay’s Gruesome twosome”, continue to entertain and snipe at each other and Sam tries to fix the whole ship by himself right now. Huge spotlight to Sarah who has jumped right in with her Psychiatry character and to Ems also for jumping right in with her new scientist and how fun her character so far has been to read. I have to highlight Krys for the heartfelt character development of her secondary character Adrian with our new psychiatrist. Also Brandon continues to amuse me with his witty comments IC all over the ship.

Finally I need a full other spotlight for Linds our GM for devising a fun and clever idea for us to all be involved with, I can’t wait to see how this develops.

Vacancies: Engineering JOs and Security

Executive Officer: Harley Cartee

Crew Posting Level: 7
Senior Staff Posting Level: 6
Overall Ship Health: 7

Ship Status: Things are still slogging along, though, I am partially to blame for that. Linds has a great new sim going and Cale and I are helping each other stay on task. Hopefully, we will be able to light a fire under the ship and get things going.

Spotlight: Linds for keeping the sim going even though I’m being difficult.

Vacancies:

Gamemaster: No report submitted

FComm’s Comments: The Ogawa crew is posting well within their limits this month. With a total of 230 posts for the month of June, this is well within the posting range for their ship speed. Good job guys.

Outpost 42

Commanding Officer: Adam W.

Crew Posting Level: 8
Senior Staff Posting Level: 6
Overall Ship Health: 7

Ship Status: There were over 100 posts on the Outpost in June, making this the busiest month since last July. Our newer members have been quite active and reenergized things. Kat dropped out in June due to not having enough time, which means we have a chief of security vacancy.

Liam’s been leading us through a sim that’s both challenging and interesting. Who are these crazy characters really and what is this artifact? Time will tell.

Spotlight: Gene Gibbs has been a fantastic recent addition. Every ship probably should have a character from a gangster planet played by Gene.

Vacancies: COS, any JO

Executive Officer: Kate O’Neill

Crew Posting Level: 9
Senior Staff Posting Level: 10
Overall Ship Health: 9

Ship Status: The Outpost is full of new stories and great additions to the currently running ones. The GM is creating a magical world of ‘who the heck are you’ in every scene. It makes for a very fun and engaging sim. Great work Outpostians!

Spotlight: My spotlight this month goes to Emily S. She had brought on board the new counselor who is writing amazing pieces with everyone. Each thread draws you in and makes you want to know more of the story unfolding. Great work Emily. I am so happy to have you on the crew.

Vacancies:

Gamemaster: No report submitted

FComm’s Comments: The crew of Outpost 42 has posted well within their limits for the month of June with 102 posts. Great job guys. Keep up the amazing work.
