The Infinite Fleet Report - July 2019

USS Chimera

Commanding Officer: Philip Graham

Crew Posting Level: 6
Senior Staff Posting Level: 5
Overall Ship Health: 5

Ship Status: Due to a infection that spread into my blood stream I was unable to post for about 50% of this month. I am back but the ship took a direct hit as I am doing a Side sim as the GM prepares a new Sim. The ship had a total of 102 post’s, down from the 300’s last month. We will be pushing forward on the sim and getting ready for some high paced combat operations.

Executive Officer: No report submitted Unexcused

Gamemaster: Luke Hung

Crew Posting Level: 7
Senior Staff Posting Level: 7
Overall Ship Health: 8

Sim Overview: The sim finally ended a couple of weeks ago. I’m working on a three parter mission so I’m taking a short break before I restart the mission. The crew mean while has exploded and I’m really looking forward to interacting with the new team.

FComm’s Comments: The Chimera took a big hit this month without Phil at the helm due to his sudden health crisis but we hung in there. I am very much looking forward to what Luke has in store for the Chimera over this next sim. I have no concerns with the Chimera though as she is still in transition.

USS Constellation

Commanding Officer: No report submitted LOA

Executive Officer: Katy Darrah

Crew Posting Level: 7
Senior Staff Posting Level: 5
Overall Ship Health: 9

Ship Status: Ship is moving along decently. I personally had some RL issues that kept me busy and unable to post, but nothing burned in my absence, so I’m confident in this ship!

Gamemaster: Emily S.

Crew Posting Level: 8
Senior Staff Posting Level: 8
Overall Ship Health: 8

Sim Overview: Things have been moving a lot better this month now that we are getting to the main part of the sim. I had to take an unexpected LOA last week so it has been a bit quieter but now that I am back I hope it picks up again. The crew has just been split in two ready for the main part of the story but have been interacting well with each other and the sim characters. As we move into the main sim, I hope that the level of posting and enthusiasm keeps up.

Spotlight: Sam Pennington has settled in brilliantly as CE and has created a great NE who has given us all a good laugh.

FComm’s Comments: Crew and simwise I have no concerns with the Connie. She has a strong crew and Ems is a great GM. We managed to keep the ship active through both of the absences of Louis and Katy this month. Ems sim is very devious and I am so looking forward to seeing it flesh out.

Starbase Magellan

Commanding Officer: Jim Watkin

Crew Posting Level: 5
Senior Staff Posting Level: 5
Overall Ship Health: 6

Ship Status: So this is my first report as the CO of the Magellan. At the time of writing the are currently 17 characters on the roster. (6 AWOL, 3 LOA, & 1 Late) - I intend of the coming week or so to make check in with our absentees and to check in with them.

I have started a handful of threads with my character meeting several of the Starbase’s characters and will start a few more up to try and get all involved.

Executive Officer: Steve Johnson

Crew Posting Level: 7
Senior Staff Posting Level: 6
Overall Ship Health: 7

Ship Status: Overall Magellan is finally coming back around. The simm is wrapping up, and we’ve started welcoming our new Captain. It’ll be nice to finally wrap up this simm and move on to something new and exciting. We’ve also introduced a few more seedy characters to our mix, hopefully to keep things lively!

Spotlight: Amber DeSadier, thank you for all your hard work over the last couple of years. Good luck in the future!

Vacancies:

Gamemaster: Geoff Joosten

Crew Posting Level: 8
Senior Staff Posting Level: 9
Overall Ship Health: 8

Sim Overview: The sim is just about ready to wind up. I suspect it will be over with by the next report in August. I believe it went well and people enjoyed it. We lost Amber, but Jim seems ready to jump in so that is exciting.

Several other new crew members are looking forward to what is next so that will be a fun challenge.

Spotlight: None

FComm’s Comments: I am very happy with how well Jim has stepped into the Command chair and activity on the base has picked back up. We are still wrapping up things with Amber’s character and are going to miss her very much. Overall I think the base has returned to its strong posting position. Good job guys!

USS Viking

Commanding Officer: Amanda Mercer

Crew Posting Level: 5
Senior Staff Posting Level: 8
Overall Ship Health: 7

Ship Status: Sim

With the entire senior staff either on the surface or headed that way will the junior officers be able to handle what the Viking and the current situation on the planet brings?

The month of June was a bit slow for our sim. The month ended with several awols and leave of absences.
Since my return I am slowly getting the awols under control and pushing the sim forward. I look forward to seeing where Emily takes us next.

Executive Officer: Jim Watkin

Crew Posting Level: 5
Senior Staff Posting Level: 4
Overall Ship Health: 4

Ship Status: Thinks have slowed a little this month with us again being hit by a number of LOAs and AWOLs. Simwise we have arrived at Vaila Colonoy and the away team has split into 3 groups. One group in sickbay, one just left sickbay and the rest have just escaped a particularly nasty turbolift

Gamemaster: Emily S.

Crew Posting Level: 7
Senior Staff Posting Level: 7
Overall Ship Health: 7

Sim Overview: The sim has been ticking along nicely with people posting regularly. Unfortunately as Amanda has had to be away a lot, it is moving fairly slowly but Jim has done a really good job of pushing things forward where he can. The crew are interacting with with the sim and sim characters. I would have hoped we’d be a little further on than we are but I hope we are able to get into the main part of the sim within the next couple of weeks. I also had to take an unexpected LOA which has slowed things down a little.

Spotlight: Jim has done a great job of keeping things going and pushing the sim forwards. Trinity has also done some great posting and got really stuck into the sim.

FComm’s Comments: Overall no concerns with the Viking as it continues to move along at its own pace. It’s nice to see the sim moving along at a decent but slow pace as usually the side sims outnumber the sim posts. I think that is due to the fascinating new GM, good job Ems!

Overall I am satisfied with the Fleet at the moment. All the ships are moving in a forward direction and I have high hopes that they will continue to strengthen.
