The Foremost Fleet Report - August 2018

USS Ark Angel

Commanding Officer: Robert Archer

Crew Posting Level: 6
Senior Staff Posting Level: 6
Overall Ship Health: 6

Ship Status: The ship seems in good shape to me, we have/had a few loas and an awol or two but nothing too serious this past month. Sim wise the Ark Angel is making scans of the local quantum reality and timeline and subspace, while the crew prepare final preps for the inedible fight to come.

While currently we have some awols I am working to address those post haste with my XO

Spotlight: I want to spotlight my new XO first off this past month, he has done a great job while life has been very busy for me keeping up on the admin side and awol/loa notices that I could not handle. It made my life tons easier then usual. I am also happy to report that I feel his training as an XO for one day being a CO is coming along quite nicely!

Executive Officer: James Sinclair

Crew Posting Level: 7
Senior Staff Posting Level: 9
Overall Ship Health: 9

Ship Status: The ship is in the middle of the multi-ship sim with the Merrimack. The majority of the crew is within posting limits, but we have a two AWOL (notification given to both) and 1 late.

Sim Overview: The ship seems in good shape to me, we have/had a few loas and an awol or two but nothing too serious this past month. Sim wise the Ark Angel is making scans of the local quantum reality and timeline and subspace, while the crew prepare final preps for the inedible fight to come.

Spotlight:

FComm’s Comments: The AA sim is still going strong despite some issues with a few of the crew. I am not overly concerned over it as both Rob and Nathan are guys that quickly take care of things. Also with it being summer its easy to let time slip before one realizes it.

USS Asimov

Commanding Officer: Tyra Schroll

Crew Posting Level: 5
Senior Staff Posting Level: 5
Overall Ship Health: 5

Ship Status: We are picking up steam again after the transition to the new site. The sim is moving along we are looking for the Grand Nagus and have learned that other important people have been reported missing. The crew is divided into three groups, one at the office of the Grand Nagus, the other negotiating for payment and then the Captain doing her own investigation. And the crew aboard the ship monitoring all of this.

We have gotten a new CMO and that rounds out our crew. We will keep plucking along and keep picking up steam.

Executive Officer: David Shotton

Crew Posting Level: 5
Senior Staff Posting Level: 4
Overall Ship Health: 6

Ship Status: The Asimov continues to move at it’s own pace, our sim is slowly progressing and this isn’t anything unusual, especially at this time of year which tends to be slower. A few LOA’s and crew changes, and our CMO never returned from the site switch which slowed us down. On the plus side, we have added Brady and Russ to our ranks and the Asimov is a steady little ship.

Spotlight: The Enduring Tribble. Russ has posts which are always fun to read and bring a grin to the face, and its simply a joy to read him. Likewise the Ox, Jeremy has been noticeable with Tavmeer in command (What!?? Who let him sit in the seat? Queue ‘Pirates of the Alpha Quadrant’ theme song) while Mouse and myself have been dirt side. Thank you to you both!

Gamemaster: Jason Lee

Crew Posting Level: 3
Senior Staff Posting Level: 3
Overall Ship Health: 3

Sim Overview: The Asimov is exploring on Ferenginar to figure out what political turmoil has caused the Federation Ambassador to go into hiding. There are away teams on the surface currently trying to figure out what is happening.

Spotlight:

FComm’s Comments: The Asimov is going along fairly well for being a slow ship and it being summer. I have no concerns with this ship.

SS Bonaventure

Commanding Officer: Melissa Aragon

Crew Posting Level: 7
Senior Staff Posting Level: 8
Overall Ship Health: 7

Ship Status: Getting back in swing. Few loas but okay. David considering leaving. Just too many ships he says. But everyone seems to be doing ok.

Spotlight: Kris for holding up things even with new responsibilities.
Have linguist joining ship.
Sim going great. Creative writers.

Executive Officer: Krystelle McLean

Crew Posting Level: 8
Senior Staff Posting Level: 8
Overall Ship Health: 8

Ship Status: For being mid summer our posting and sim have continued moving very well and made good progress. I get the sense we’re near the end of the sim now but must say that I have really enjoyed the integration of the crew and the evolution of the characters.

Spotlight:

Gamemaster: Gene Gibbs

Crew Posting Level: 6
Senior Staff Posting Level: 6
Overall Ship Health: 6

Sim Overview: The mystery is afoot. The strange and very different species known as the Qeebain have intercepted the Bonnie and one, called Bane, has come aboard to speak with the crew about the other equally enigmatic object that they pulled out from the gravity well of the White Dwarf Star, in which is the race known as the Arryha. The latter have only communicated telepathically and are as yet secured inside their small craft. The Qeebain stated that they knew of the galactic battle in another dimension to overcome the Arryha and that they were caught in this universe with them, defeating them and imprisoning them. Meanwhile, the security forces have neutralized the threat of the chef’s assistant gaining entrance to the armory and playing with a live grenade. Bryan, the crewman, was taken babbling to sickbay where he began to speak things, shouting at times, of a darkness coming to the galaxy. In the conference room the crew interviewed Bane as Stovik received telepathic messages stating what was said were lies. Engineering remained hard at work repairing damages that were incurrred from the gravity well of the star.

Spotlight:

FComm’s Comments: The crew seem to be enjoying Gene’s sim very much though I get the sense that it may be ending soon. The crew has remained steady posting wise despite it being summer and crew taking various LOA’s.

USS Manhattan

Commanding Officer: Jeremy DeSpain

Crew Posting Level: 5
Senior Staff Posting Level: 5
Overall Ship Health: 7

Ship Status: While we are still healthy there has been a major lull in posting this month. I am still trying to find root cause and I think I know what it is.

Spotlight: Welcome Aboard Russel Watt!

Executive Officer: Steven Sigle

Crew Posting Level: 7
Senior Staff Posting Level: 7
Overall Ship Health: 7

Ship Status: We are coming close to the end, and it’s been a glorious ride. The Hirogen are not the most cuddly race, and the Delta Quadrant feels dark and dangerous. Still, it’s been one hell of a ride.

Spotlight:

Gamemaster: Tyra Schroll

Crew Posting Level: 5
Senior Staff Posting Level: 5
Overall Ship Health: 5

Sim Overview: THe crew has made their way to the surface and have determined where the source of the beacon is coming from and are heading that way. The ship is working on avoiding the gravity well and monitoring the surface due to increased seismic activity due to the gravity well. The crew is about half way through the mission and are doing well. I have been very busy with work so my posting has been a bit slower than I would like. I am working on getting things back in balance.

Spotlight:

AFComm’s Comments: Although the Manhattan has maintained a very healthy roster, and associated compliment of posts, my concerns about the rate at which the main sim is progressing remain from my previous report. Unfortunately, I am still as of yet unable to devise a suggested alleviation to this problem, to provide as a suggestion to the command crew; thankfully, as I also stated in my previous report, the slow progression on the main sim is only exacerbated as a ‘problem’ due to the ship’s overall health being remarkable, with not much else to raise complaints about.

USS Memorial

Commanding Officer: Kirt Gartner

Crew Posting Level: 7
Senior Staff Posting Level: 6
Overall Ship Health: 8

Ship Status: we have arrived at Vuzavue Colony and an away team lead by the Cheif Tactical officer has beamed over to the science station to help fine tune the defense systems of the station while a second away team has beamed down to the colony spaceport (They were supposed to be beamed into the lobby but the storm screwed with Targeting and thus the team got rained on a bit) to assist however is needed on the surface of the colony

Spotlight:

Executive Officer: Nathan Derricutt

Crew Posting Level: 8
Senior Staff Posting Level: 8
Overall Ship Health: 8

Ship Status: The main sim is progressing at a slow pace and the crew are posting fairly regularly. Side sims have dropped slightly but we are making attempts to get side posting back up. The crew seems to be in good spirits and the ships morale is high.

Spotlight:

Gamemaster: Robert Archer

Crew Posting Level: 6
Senior Staff Posting Level: 6
Overall Ship Health: 6

Sim Overview: The ship seems to be doing good. Sim wise the security team is helping the science outpost of Vuzavue realign their defense and offense systems. Planet side the away team is readying to meet with the local Govenor. Ship side the crew is R&Ring and just keeping busy till something happens

Spotlight:

AFComm’s Comments: The Memorial has been on the whole unremarkable, this reporting period. Posting has been maintained at a somewhat adequate level, although I am becoming concerned with the posting rate of the senior staff. If the ship is to restore itself to its ‘former glory’, as it were (at least, that of the late Aztec’s), the command staff must learn to lead by example - unfortunately, I am not yet convinced that this is being achieved as of now. I look forward to perhaps altering this comment in the next report I submit (presuming I retain the position within the new presidency, of course).

Overall I have no concerns with any of the ships of the Fleet at this time. It is expected to experience posting lulls in the summer due to frequent LOA’s. So far though the various Command crews of all the ships have remained very much present.
