EGO Election - Call for Candidates
The EGO election is now open for a new member of EGO. The new member of EGO will serve for two years, beginning on March 1, 2017.
NOTE: EGO elections are silent elections. That means no campaigning of any kind is allowed. This includes any messages that supports or is against a candidate (either directly or by implication), and includes all messages and announcements on the star-fleet.com website or on any public channel on the STF Discord server. This rule is strictly enforced, and any questions or concerns should be raised with me privately.
For those unfamiliar with EGO, it is an executive body of three members with staggering, two-year terms. EGO is responsible for retaining a sense of institutional memory and ensuring political stability within STF. To that end, EGO is tasked with overseeing the actions of the President within the limited conditions and procedures laid out in the EEEGO bylaw: https://www.star-fleet.com/library/bookshelf/charters/charter-eeego.html.
To be eligible to be a candidate for EGO, you must meet the following two requirements:
1) Hold a member rank of Fleet Captain or higher, and
2) Be an active member continuously for at least the past eight months (excluding routine Leaves of Absences).
If you are interested in running in this EGO election, you must email me at ec [at] star-fleet.com no later than February 9, 2017 (11:59 pm, Eastern Time). Assuming there are at least two candidates, voting will begin shortly afterwards.
